BS 1521 Building Paper Grades

Novia Grade A1F Standard building paper

A traditional, reinforced bitumen-bonded, building paper laminate to BS 1521 Class A1F, manufactured with wet strength kraft paper and meeting the technical requirements of BS 1521, Class A1F for water-proof building papers. Use for underlays on uninsulated cladding, temporary protection, separation layers, bond breaks and draught exclusion.

Novia Grade B1F non-permanent building paper

A lower-grade variant of A1F for temporary protection applications only. Use for break layers under insulated screeds, where some toughness is required during laying.

Novia Grade B2 Temporary Protection Paper and Break Layer Paper

Clear polythene coated wet-strength kraft paper to BS 1521 Class B2. Use for temporary protection jobs and break layer applications. Water resistant and good grease and solvent resistance.

Performance Data

Meets the technical requirements of BS 1521 Class B2 for water-proof building papers.
Wet burst strength	> 140 KPA
