Breather membranes complement vapour control laminates. They protect insulation from draughts and build up of dirt and moisture that can reduce its efficiency. They are positioned on the cold side of insulation usually under cladding. They allow moisture vapour to pass through them but will resist the passage of liquid water.
A reflective, metallic-faced synthetic fibre breather membrane (BS 4016 Type 1) suitable for under-slating, under-cladding and timber frame applications.
ConstructionA metalised faced synthetic fibre laminate of non-woven fabrics with high water resistance and good vapour permeability. See data sheet for full specification and installation instructions.

ConstructionA blue paper with water repellent chemicals incorporated during the manufacturing stage. Meets the technical requirements of BS 4016, the British Standard for breather papers.
